I have used Bed-it and Butyl tape from both West Marine and from the hardware store and from window glazing companies. They are not all the same the product. Bed-seems to remain pliable when exposed to UV pretty much as long as I have used it, (probably 5-6 years) but is slightly narrower than the other sources.
