Tape is relatively new, everything works. In high-gain applications the EP-3 becomes and angry, hissy fire breathing monster, but sounds great also. As with all old gear, could probably use some maintenaince in a few years.

May 7, 2024. #1. I have a Sound on Sound tube Echoplex that I have owned since new (1971 I think). It has that amazing warm tube preamp boost. I haven't used it in some time. The erase head is not working completely and there is a bit of bleed through of the previous loop. Local electronics guys have failed to fix it.
