WebAug 9, 2024 · At idle the throttle plate should be almost closed with only a very small gap for mixture to pass through. With this high vacuum there is no way that the engine would rev to 6000 rpm. Though the bike idles without a problem when warming up, as soon as it nears operating temperature and after a quick twist of the throttle, the bike hangs at a few thousand rpm.
